Consumer Direct is a new government-backed service from the Department of Trade and Industry. We provide clear, practical advice, free of charge, to all sorts of consumers with all sorts of consumer issues or complaints.
Consumer Direct advisors can give you information on how to handle a whole range of consumer issues from bill queries and warranty disputes to faulty and dangerous goods and poor workmanship. This information is normally enough to help you solve the issues on your own.
The service is available Monday to Friday 8am – 6.30pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm on a low call number. The advice is absolutely free. Consumer Direct
